The lab is well funded and focuses on frontier research, with a research agenda that balances high-quality publications and practical value. We welcome students interested in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining, big data analytics and computing, and related fields. We also welcome early-career faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and research assistants whose interests align with data science, big data computing, machine learning and artificial intelligence, AI4Science, and related areas. 1. 博士后、科研助理

1. Postdoc and Research Assistant

招收博士后研究员，研究方向包括大模型与智能体、AI4Science、数据挖掘与机器学习、大数据计算等方向。待遇优厚，提供海外合作和访问机会，常年有效。

Postdoctoral Researchers

We are recruiting postdoctoral researchers in areas including Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agents, AI for Science (AI4Science), Data Mining and Machine Learning, and Big Data Computing. Research Assistant

We are also recruiting one contract-based Research Assistant (full-time or part-time). Applicants should have a background in science or engineering, hold a Master’s degree or above, and have experience in research project management and proposal/document preparation. Competitive compensation will be provided.

2. PhD Students

每年预计招收博士研究生4-6名。要求对科研有兴趣、有主动性，编程与数学基础扎实，有相关研究经验者优先。

博士申请方式：

  • 本科直博生：7 月推免夏令营，或 8–9 月推免考核。
  • 申请-考核制：8–10 月秋季招生 / 次年 3–4 月春季招生。
  • 已获硕士学位者或3月内硕士毕业：可申请学校快响计划。

可申请博士培养项目类型：

  • 哈尔滨工业大学统招博士（学术类、专业类）
  • 哈工大–鹏城实验室联合培养博士（学术类、专业类）
  • 其他特殊类型或联合培养项目（具体见通知）
  • 另外，每年可推荐、指导深圳河套学院博士生若干名，在河套学院培养，发哈工大毕业证学位证，需参加河套学院单独考核。

目前有2027级多个博士名额，包括鹏城实验室联培1名、哈工大统招＋课题急需特招博士2-4名，河套学院联合培养博士2-3名，请提前与意向导师联系。

We recruit approximately 4–6 PhD students each year. Applicants should be interested and proactive in research, with solid programming and mathematical foundations; relevant research experience is preferred.

PhD Application methods:

  • Direct-admission PhD from bachelor’s: July recommendation summer camp, or Aug–Sep recommendation assessment.
  • Application-assessment: Fall admission (Aug–Oct) / Spring admission (Mar–Apr of the following year).
  • Fast-track program: Applicants who have already obtained a Master’s degree or are expected to graduate with a Master’s degree within three months may apply through the university’s fast-track program.

PhD programs available:

  • PhD at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) (academic or professional degree)
  • Joint PhD with HIT and Pengcheng Laboratory (academic or professional degree)
  • Other special or joint PhD programs (please refer to the relevant announcements for details)
  • In addition, we may recommend and supervise several PhD students each year through Shenzhen Loop Area Institute (SLAI). Students are trained at SLAI and receive their degree and graduation certificates from HIT. A separate admission assessment organized by SLAI is required.

We currently have multiple PhD openings for the 2027 intake, including:

  • 1 joint PhD position with Pengcheng Laboratory
  • 2–4 HIT PhD positions, including regular admission and special recruitment positions for urgent research needs
  • 2–3 joint-training PhD positions with Shenzhen Loop Area Institute (SLAI)
